Bad news turns out it is just a rumor. Alot of other boards say that some fan made a fake trailer using bits from Lotr films and Dragonslayer and music from one of the video games and tried to pass off a release date of Dec 2006. This rumor was started while PJ was still working on King Kong. There is nothing official anywhere to be found on the net. Plus PJ is currently working Halo and then doing some other film Lovely Bones. So it appears that it is going to be a long while before we see The Hobbit movie.

My son is a huge Halo fan, so it is cool that PJ is doing it, not sure what Lovely Bones is though, I guess it is based on a book. I think the hold up on The Hobbit has to do with legal battles over the rights, I wonder if it will ever be made.

The Lovely Bones is a book yeah, by Alice Sebold. I read it about a year ago then heard PJ was doing the film and got all excited haha. It's a really good book though, it's about a teenage girl who gets murdered and she spends her time looking down on her friends and family, seeing how they cope with her death and how their lives change/pan out because of it. It's a sad book really but it's a good read. If you're into interpretations of an afterlife and where we go after we die etc. then I'd recommend it.

I think I may actually check both those movies out. Halo is just cool beans lol. I have heard Lovely Bones is a really good book so that may be something really good to see. Yeah I figured it would prob be a while on the Hobbit simply due to the rights for the movie, but when somebody said that I was like no way! It wouldn't surprise me if they are still fighting over the rights.
