Hi everyone, I am new here, I love the books and thought that I would try to get this subject going. Is anyone into reading Tolkien's works and if so what have you read so far? I have read The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit (of course), The Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales, 7 volumes of the Histories of Middle-earth series(The Book of Lost Tales part 1 and part 2, The Lays of Beleriand, The Shaping of Middle-earth, The Lost Road, The Return of the Shadow, and the Treason of Isengard). Just wondering if there are any other book heads here.

Just a little advice on The Silmarillion. Take your time reading it. Many people find it a little difficult to read the first time around. It is basically a bunch of shorter stories that all tie into each other and there is a lot of information. It doesn't read like LotR, it is a history of Middle-Earth and the elves. I had to read it a second time before I fully understood what was going on, but now it is my favorite. I hope you like it.

yeah i'm sure you will enjoy it. i'm eventually going to get around to reading that one lol
but sort of off topic has anyone who has myspace bought a book called Luthiel's Song?! It is a fantastic book that has a huge LotR feel to it. So if anyone has any extra money laying around I would suggest checking it out and I can give you the link to his profile if you need it. :-)

Princess Leagwen, I just got A Tolkien Miscellany from amazon. It has Smith of Wootton Major, Farmer Giles of Ham, Tree and Leaf, The Adventures of Tom Bombadil ( which are actually a collection of 16 poems) and Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. This book is just a bunch of Tolkiens works collected into one book. I got if from the amazon marketplace used but in excellent condition. If you want to check there.

I looked it up on Amazon and then clicked on the buy it used and chose one that was in like new condition. I prefer hard cover and I paid $7.77 and $3.49 shipping. The vary in price, depending on what seller has it. I will see if I can get a link for you.
