This thread is for discussing the newest Tolkien book The Children of Hurin. Post whatever you want about the book or the characters. Did you enjoy the story? Were you already familiar with the story from other books?

I was already familiar with the story from The Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales. The story of Turin is my favorite of Tolkien's stories so I was very excited when the book came out. I really was expecting to see a bit of new found material added to the book but there wasn't much. I still enjoyed having the story in a more finished form and a book of it's own. It is an easy to understand read even if the reader isn't familiar with the story already. Overall great book.
Has anyone else read it yet? Do you plan to and why or why not?
