I've been looking for images to use as icons; particularly the pieces of jewelry from the film, as those things seem to have a certain significance to the films (the One Ring, Arwen's pendant, the leaf broaches, etc..) but I'm not having any luck.
Let me know if you find any, Christine.
Also I was thinking of changing the color scheme to a lighter background with darker text. Yay or nay? The wallpaper would remain as it is.

Well im uploading a couple different choices for you to look at, in our photobucket account under the lotr section, and just give a look at some of the stuff (i bet you can alter them to make them work with the board), and im also gonna give you the names of the rings to see if that helps your searching...
Vilya Barahir Narya Nenya Dwarven Ring of Power Ringwraiths ring Witch King Ring (witchking) The One Ring or The Ring of Power

Great, thanks. Tomorrow I'll get to work on making those images into icons. The chibi characters are cute I guess, but the only way we can incorperate them into the emoticons is if they replace some of the existing ones. Like how I replaced the kissy-face emoticon at the Cantina with a Wookie head, and the question mark emoticon with a Jawa head. Let me know if you want to greenlight that option. ..Tolkien must have been a jewelry enthusiast or something.

Anyone was to ask for my opinion, which I note they’re not, I’d say we...should stick to the darker background and lighter text.. >; )

Ok cool!!!! Thankies!!!! I need anybody's help next, im looking for 2 icons to use for the old/new post icons. The icon that tells you if there are any new posts in that section of the forum. I was thinking about a glowing blue sting sword for new posts, and then a non glowing sword for sections that have no new posts. Or if anybody else has any ideas let me know or show me your idea. Even the one ring will work, like have for new posts with the elvish script shining for new posts, and a plain one ring for no new posts. I would appreciate your help on this!!!! Thank You!!!!
